How hacks work

A domain hack lets the extension carry the last letters of a word. Short, memorable, and often free when the .com is long gone.

End

The word ends in a real extension. You register exactly what people read.

containe.rs · contai.nz · delicio.us

Path

The extension sits inside the word; the rest becomes a page on your site.

conta.in/ers · conta.in/s

Subdomain

Split twice. You register the last two parts and add the first as a subdomain.

del.icio.us · conta.ine.rs

Questions

What is a domain hack?

A name that uses the extension as part of a word, like contai.nz (New Zealand's .nz) or gam.es (Spain's .es). Read without the dot, it spells the word.

Can I buy every name I see?

No. Some extensions are closed to the public or limited to residents. Those show as "Not offered". Turn on "Hide taken and unavailable" under filters to see only names you can get.

Where are my favorites stored?

In this browser only. Nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no account. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Are these prices real?

Yes. Prices and availability come from our registrars, per year in US dollars.

What do register, renewal and transfer mean?

Register is the first year. Renewal is each year after. Transfer is moving a name you already own from another registrar, which usually adds a year.
